A horse's genetic potential (or GP) is the athletic talent of a horse on Horse Reality. Genetic potential stays the same throughout a horse's life and cannot be raised or lowered by for example training.
¶ Genetic Potential
The genetic potential of a horse is visible from birth, as long as the horse is owned by a player or by Gisela. Only the stats of Foundation and Wildlife Park horses are hidden.

There are 10 GP stats in total and they can assume a value between 0 and 100.
¶ Discipline-Specific GP
If you are training your horse for competitions, certain GP stats will have an influence on performance in different disciplines. You will find the full list in the article about competitions.
¶ Inheritance
Genetic potential can be improved through breeding. Each GP-value is the average of 2 alleles. The value of each allele can vary from 0-100. When breeding two horses, the foal inherits one allele of its dam and one allele of its sire, each with a small variation (RNG).
