Conformation shows are events on Horse Reality where the body of a horse is judged according to how well it looks and moves, and how well it conforms to the standard of its breed. All conformation shows on Horse Reality are breed-specific.
Conformation shows are either hosted by the registries (the game) or the clubs (the players).
¶ Entering a Conformation Show
To enter a show, click on Conformation Shows under “Events” in the left menu of the Horse Reality website.
A horse can be entered into a conformation show from the moment it is born. Entering a horse will usually cost an entrance fee in HRC. Participating in the show will cost the horse -15% energy. You can only participate in a show when you are on your home continent. A horse can only participate in two shows at a time (one game and one club show) and only in conformation shows of its own breed.
Foals will enter the "foals" category regardless of their gender. Mares that are at least 3 years old will enter the "mares" category, and at least 3 years old stallions the "stallions" category. If an adult stallion has been gelded he will enter the "geldings" category.
You can favourite a specific breed conformation show by clicking on the star-shaped button on the entry page. This way, the show will always be on top the conformation shows list for easy access.
¶ Earning Points
Upon entering a horse in a conformation show, points will be generated for it depending on a number of factors:
- The conformation stats of a horse have the biggest effect on its performance in a conformation show. Simply put, a horse with only “very good” conformation stats will always score higher than one with only “poor” ones.
- Grooming (clicking the “grooming” button of the caretaking tasks)
- Wearing a halter will add +3 points to a horse’s score.
- RNG (a randomly generated number) to reflect the horse’s mood on that day. A horse can be grumpy and lazy one day, while the next day it might strut its stuff and show that it is the prettiest of all. This is also to make sure that players won't have the same scores all the time.
Overall, the final score consists of Conformation Stats + Grooming + Halter + RNG.
Since the final score varies within a specific range, each horse has a minimum and a maximum of points that it can possibly reach. Some breeders on Horse Reality keep track of their horses' range to gain insight for their breeding programs.
¶ Earning Premiums and Predicates
While entering a conformation show, your horse is able to earn premiums depending on its score. Each time your horse earns a premium, a ribbon of that colour will be added to the Achievements tab on its profile.

Horses that have earned at least three 1st premiums automatically receive the Star predicate. Horses that produce offspring with Star predicates may qualify for the Proven predicate and need to be entered in a conformation show in order to receive it.
¶ Conformation Show Rewards
Upon entering a horse in a conformation show, you - the player - will receive 7 XP. When the conformation is finished, different prizes will be handed out:

Prize Money
If at least 5 horses entered the conformation show in a category (e.g. foals/mares/...), the first 3 horses in that category win prize money.
- 1st place in a category: 300 HRC
- 2nd place in a category: 200 HRC
- 3rd place in a category: 100 HRC
¶ Day Champion Award & Reward
The Day Champion Award is a prize for the best horse of a conformation show across all categories (foals, mares, stallions, geldings). The award comes with a special tricoloured ribbon that will be added to the Achievements count on the winning horse's profile. If less than 10 horses have participated in the show, the winning horse still gets the ribbon, but there is no notification about having won the Day Champion Award and no reward paid out.
In a show with at least 10 participating horses across all categories (foals, mares, stallions, geldings, the award will also come with these rewards:
- The reward of registry-hosted conformation shows will be
- 70% chance of 1000 HRC in 70% of cases
- 10% chance each of either 5 Wildlife Tickets, 5 Foundation Tickets, or 100 DP.
- The prize of club-hosted conformation shows can only be in HRC and depends on the event.
¶ Game-Hosted and Club-Hosted Conformation Shows
On Horse Reality, conformation shows are either hosted by the game (the registries) or clubs (the players). Clicking on conformation shows in the Horse Reality menu will lead you to a list of shows that are hosted by the game. Clicking “club-hosted” in the header will show you a list of shows that are currently hosted by clubs.
The points your horse scores are generated in the same way for both kinds of shows. The differences are summarised in the table below. Basically, the rules for the game-hosted conformation shows are always the same, while in the club-hosted shows the creator of the show gets to choose them.

¶ Changelog
- On December 14th 2018, a major bug was fixed and players received compensation[1][2][3]
- On January 4th 2019, a small bugfix was implemented[4]
- On January 9th 2019, Conformation Stats were made visible permanently. Before this update, horses had to be entered in a Conformation show first to reveal their Conformation Stats. A small fix was implemented[5]
- On June 19th, horse taglines were added to conformation show entries[6]
- On June 2nd 2021, the prize money for categories was added and the Day Champion reward was increased[7]
- On June 16th 2021, a small bugfix was implemented[8]
- On January 18th 2023, a small bugfix was implemented[9]
- On March 1st 2023, the conformation shows page was updated to match the design of the competition page[10]
- On April 5th 2023, some bugfixes were implemented[11]
