On your horse's Training page, you find a box labelled "General" that informs you about your horse's energy, physical fitness and affection. All three stats will assume a value between 0% and 100%. There you can also find shortcuts to enter a horse in a conformation show, or if it was trained in a discipline, competitions.
Energy is a measurement in Horse Reality used to restrict the daily activities of horses. This simulates daily life and ensures they cannot participate in activities infinitely. Some energy will be drained when you exercise your horse or participate in events. The amount of energy drained depends on the activity. When the energy bar hits 0% the horse has done enough activities for now. It won't have any other consequences.
Activity | Energy Drain |
---|---|
Training | 4 – 100% |
Conformation Show | 15% |
Competition | 25% |
A horse will regain +20% energy every hour if the horse has been properly taken care of in the last 24 hours. If the horse is thirsty or hungry (caretaking bars filled < 25%) it will not regain energy.
There are currently no items that replenish energy.
Physical fitness is a horse's physical state of overall health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports and daily activities.
Proper physical fitness can be achieved by training a horse via the Training tab. For each training unit, physical fitness will increase by a percentage ranging from +2% to +23%. The exact size of the boost depends on your choice of terrain and duration. If you own a roundpen, you can select this as a terrain to exercise the horse. Its fitness will receive a boost ranging from +4% to +7% depending on the chosen duration. Horses' physical fitness will decrease by 3% at rollover.
Physical fitness is important. It is one of the aspects counting toward competition scores. The better the physical fitness of a horse, the better it will perform in competitions.
Affection is the horse's "affection for its owner" in Horse Reality.
Horses can gain and lose affection in various ways. Overnight the horse's affection will decrease by 3%. By caretaking and training, the horse's affection will increase. Whenever a horse gets trained or put in the roundpen, regardless of further details such as duration, it will receive +3% affection. When caring for your horse via the buttons on the Summary tab, feeding it a treat will add +1% affection as well.
At the Equistore, under the "Food" section, you can buy two items that boost affection: Apples and Horse Treats. You can feed these to your horses via your inventory. An apple fills the hunger bar by +5% and adds +3% affection. A portion of horse treats fills the hunger bar by +1% and gives a +5% affection boost. You can only feed each horse one treat item per day. You can feed the horse an apple or horse treat via your inventory if it hasn't received treats yet. This means the "Give treat" button on the Summary tab must still be clickable.
