The Noriker Horse breed is full of power and elegance. A big head with intelligent eyes is set on a strong neck. They have deep, wide chests and well-visible withers. Their long backs end with muscular, wide croups. Relatively short legs are dry but strong and have sturdy hooves[1].
Norikers come in a few colours. Black is the most popular in the Alpine region, as it provides the strongest contrast for desired white patterns. Seal brown, bay and (flaxen) chestnut are much rarer, yet liver (flaxen) chestnut is also present.
White patterns are not very popular in the breed. White markings may occur on the head but are very undesired if placed on the legs. Tobiano is rare, but it exists in a few horses. Roan is more popular, though breeders often select black-based horses for their crosses. At one point, the leopard complex nearly disappeared from Europe but today it's an active breeding goal within the breed.[2]
All alleles available for the breed can be found below highlighted in green. For better clarity, we bolded alleles that impact coat colours (eg. grey G vs non-grey g).

The Noriker Horse was added to the game in 2019. Ever since the current Horse Reality version has been online, the breed received/will receive the following updates:
The Noriker, previously known as the Pinzgauer, is a heavy draft horse from Austria and one of the few European breeds to maintain the appaloosa pattern after its decline in popularity several centuries ago. The breed is indigenous to the Alpine region, where landscape, climate, and terrain created strong but sure-footed horses needed for transporting goods in the steep mountain areas. The studbook was created 400 years ago under the influence of the archbishops of Salzburg and is well-maintained by loyal enthusiasts up until this day[5].
